The Lowcountry Anglers Fishing Club was started in 1995 with only a few members, and has grown to become the foremost fishing club in the Lowcountry.
We are primarily an inshore fishing club located in Charleston, South Carolina. In general, we fish the intercostals waters on the South Carolina coast between Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head. We fish mostly for Trout, Flounder, Sheepshead, Red Drum, Black Drum, Cobia, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, and Spadefish.
We conduct monthly In-club Tournaments with points awarded which at the end of the year are tallied up and the angler with the most points receives the Lowcountry Anglers "Angler of the Year" Award.
The Lowcountry Anglers fishing club also hosts one major public tournament per year. Our Captain's Meeting for this tournament is regarded as the best in the Lowcountry.
The Lowcountry Anglers not only help with monetary donations, but also volunteer to take groups of Camp Good Times campers fishing at the Folly Beach & Mt. Pleasent Piers.
The Lowcountry Anglers met up with the Camp Good Times Summer Campers on the Mt Pleasant pier on June 25, 2013 and enjoyed a great fishing day. We caught quite a few fish this year topped off with a nice 16+ inch speckled trout.
